The company Nature à part, located in Tende, is participating in the anti-waste challenge organized by the CCI Nice Côte d'Azur, as part of the European project Alpimed+ECOTERR.

Founded in February 2023 by Evelyne Mari, a former hospital pharmacy technician, Nature à part specializes in the distribution of parapharmacy products. Situated in a 60 m² shop in Tende, it offers essential oils, cosmetics, natural and organic hygiene products, as well as local products from the valley. All products are made in France, and the company also provides a first-aid section to compensate for the lack of a pharmacy in the village.
Participation in the Anti-Waste Challenge, initiated by the CCI within the ECOTERR project, aligns with the company's existing practices. Nature à part prioritizes bulk dispensing for hygiene products, uses only kraft paper for packaging, and opts for glass bottles. The furniture is second-hand or made from recycled materials, and the premises are heated by wood.
As part of the challenge, the company has implemented a system for reusing glass bottles and bulk products, supported by a local supplier with a sterilization machine. The aim is to encourage customers to return their containers. A project to create signage for the village's shops using old, decorated bicycles is also being considered.

Don't overthink it, just start and begin small: put together, small gestures can lead to great results.

The European project Alpimed+ECOTERR, co-financed by the cross-border program Interreg France-Italy ALCOTRA 2021-2027, aims to improve water management, preserve ecosystems, and promote the circular economy. It closely involves local authorities, scientific institutions, and economic actors. Partners include the Regional Agency for Environmental Protection of Liguria, Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur, Mercantour National Park, Université Côte d’Azur, and several Chambers of Commerce and Agriculture.
