Facing increased energy and fuel costs, the Chamber of Trades and Crafts (CMA) Nouvelle-Aquitaine informs artisanal construction and public works companies about state support measures and dedicated assistance programs.

The proximity network of the Chamber of Trades and Crafts Nouvelle-Aquitaine supports artisanal businesses affected by the economic consequences of rising energy and fuel costs. The State has implemented several support measures, particularly for construction and public works (BTP) companies.
The GNR fuel aid, which covered invoices from May to August 2026 with a subsidy of 20 cents per liter up to €4,000 per company, closed its submission portals on September 30, 2026. Eligible companies had to belong to targeted BTP sub-sectors, employ a maximum of 20 employees, have a turnover below €50 million or a balance sheet below €43 million, be up-to-date with tax and social obligations, and not be in safeguard, recovery, or liquidation proceedings. Supporting documents for aid exceeding €600 had to be submitted by October 30, 2027.
Additionally, the Flash Carburant loan from Bpifrance is available for VSEs and SMEs in the BTP sector, offering financing from €5,000 to €50,000 over 36 months without collateral. Conditions include fewer than 250 employees, a business established for over a year, a turnover exceeding €30,000, and fuel representing at least 5% of turnover. Furthermore, the Public Works indices have been revised by INSEE to account for cost evolution, and a circular from the Prime Minister reminds public buyers of the possibility to renegotiate certain contracts.
CMA Nouvelle-Aquitaine offers personalized support to artisans in difficulty. This includes confidential advice and guidance within 1.5 hours with an expert, referrals to financial or psychological professionals, and in-depth support to analyze the company's situation, assess the impact of costs, define a strategy, and build an action plan. A webinar is also available to analyze energy consumption and identify spending areas.
CMA advisors are available to inform artisans about available aid and assist them with their applications. Schemes evolve regularly, and reference sources include impots.gouv.fr for tax aid, bpifrance.fr for financing, and the CMA for personalized guidance.
