In response to the damage caused by the urban violence on October 17th, the Department of Bouches-du-Rhône, the Région Sud, and the Metropolis Aix-Marseille-Provence are mobilizing €11 million to support affected businesses, artisans, and restaurateurs.

Initiated by Martine Vassal, the Department will contribute €5 million to the Region's "Solidarity for Looted Businesses" fund. Affected professionals can now apply for a flat-rate aid of €10,000 to resume their activities.
This fund, open to small and medium-sized affected businesses, will cover initial expenses for resuming operations. The Chambers of Commerce and Industry will assist with applications and processing. The joint commitment from the authorities totals €5 million for the Région Sud, €5 million for the Department of Bouches-du-Rhône, and €1 million for the Metropolis Aix-Marseille-Provence. The involvement of CMA CGM is also acknowledged.
Businesses, artisans, and restaurateurs who suffered looting or damage can submit their aid applications starting today at maregionsud.fr/solidarite-commerces. Additionally, an extra €1 million is allocated to "Mon prêt TPE" to support the cash flow and investments of small businesses.
These €5 million in aid for businesses whose premises were vandalized are in addition to the €5 million already released by the Department for communes affected by recent floods and the €1 million designated for farmers and breeders impacted by rising waters.
