Farmers in the Var region affected by drought are invited to take steps to request individual relief on their property tax for undeveloped land (TFPNB). The payment deadline is exceptionally postponed to November 15, 2026.

In case of crop loss due to drought, a reduction in the TFPNB may be granted to the owner. However, the owner must pass this benefit on to the tenant (farmer or sharecropper), in accordance with articles L.411-24 and L.417-8 of the rural and maritime fishing code.
Affected farmers in the Var experiencing crop losses due to drought can submit an individual request by completing form 4195, which specifies the affected plots and the losses incurred.
The completed form must be sent to the Departmental Service of Land Taxes (SDIF) of the Var, attention: Yves Mahé, head of service. Requests can be sent by email to sdif.var-toulon@dgfip.finances.gouv.fr or by mail to: 171, avenue de Vert Coteau, CS 20127, 83071 TOULON CEDEX.
