INSA Toulouse, INRAE, and CNRS Occitanie-Ouest have signed a new ten-year consortium agreement for TWB, a unit dedicated to industrial biotechnologies, thereby reinforcing their historic partnership.

The partnership between INSA Toulouse, INRAE, and CNRS Occitanie-Ouest has been renewed for a period of ten years, with the possibility of extension. This agreement concerns TWB, a joint service unit specializing in industrial biotechnologies. Created in 2012, TWB's mission is to support the development of biotechnological solutions, particularly for environmental transition, and to assist companies and start-ups in the sector.
TWB's offering is evolving to better meet the needs of industrial players. It now combines scientific and technological expertise, strategic consulting, marketing support, and techno-economic analyses. Communities of interest, bringing together researchers, industrialists, start-ups, and investors, will also be established to foster the emergence of collaborative innovative projects.

"We are delighted with this new agreement which consolidates our historic partnership with INRAE and CNRS. It reinforces INSA Toulouse's ambition to make its campus an ecosystem of excellence where research, training, and innovation combine for the biotechnologies of tomorrow. With TWB and the future Halle Biotech, we aim to strengthen this collective dynamic for the benefit of companies, start-ups, and our future engineers."

INSA Toulouse thus reaffirms its commitment within a scientific and technological ecosystem focused on industrial biotechnologies and future innovations. The future Halle Biotech, scheduled to open in autumn 2027, will play a key role in this dynamic. It aims to support the development of start-ups and strengthen interactions with economic players, thereby contributing to INSA Toulouse's innovation ecosystem.
