In Autumn 2026, HEC Paris reaffirms its standing among Europe's premier entrepreneurial ecosystems by entering the global top 10 of the PitchBook Universities Ranking, gathering a quarter of the French Tech 2030 laureates, and featuring five startups in the Sifted AI 100.

These rankings approach entrepreneurship from different angles: PitchBook tracks funding rounds, French Tech 2030 supports disruptive technologies, and Sifted AI 100 highlights European artificial intelligence startups. Collectively, they underscore the advancement of HEC Paris's startup ecosystem.
In the PitchBook Universities Ranking 2026, HEC Paris makes its debut in the global top 10 universities for graduate entrepreneurs, climbing eight places in a year. The institution ranks first in continental Europe and third in Europe overall, behind Cambridge and Oxford. It also secures the 11th position globally in the ranking dedicated to female founders, signaling strong diversity in the school's entrepreneurship initiatives.
Regarding French Tech 2030, 22 out of the 80 laureates in the 2026 cohort are linked to HEC Paris, representing over 25%. This program, led by La French Tech Mission, supports startups developing breakthrough technologies crucial for French technological sovereignty. HEC Paris-affiliated laureates are present across eight sectors, having participated in programs such as HEC Challenge +, Creative Destruction Lab Paris, or co-founded by the school's alumni.
Finally, five startups associated with HEC Paris are featured in the Sifted AI 100 2026, a ranking identifying 100 European startups where AI is central to their operations. These companies are evaluated on market opportunity, differentiation, and growth dynamics. Three of them are also French Tech 2030 laureates. The 2026 edition highlights the specialization in vertical AI, execution agents, and AI in the physical world, with a concentration of laureates in the UK, France, and Germany.
These rankings reflect the diverse entrepreneurial journeys at HEC Paris, supported by the HEC Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Programs like the HEC Paris Incubator, Creative Destruction Lab Paris, and HEC Challenge + assist entrepreneurs at every stage.
