The Government has extended and adjusted its €100 aid for "heavy mileage" workers to compensate for rising fuel prices, increasing the number of potential beneficiaries to 5.5 million.

A flat-rate aid of €100 is being implemented for the period of October 1st to December 31st, 2026, equivalent to 40 cents per liter for an average three-month fuel consumption. This aid is in addition to what was already paid for the April to September 2026 period. The income ceiling has also been raised, making households with a reference tax income per share for 2024 of €22,770 or less eligible.
To be considered a "heavy mileage" worker, one must use their vehicle for professional purposes, traveling at least 15 km daily to their workplace (30 km round trip), or covering at least 8,000 km during the year for professional activity.
Personal conditions include being fiscally domiciled in France and being at least 16 years old as of December 31st, 2024. Income and assets for 2024 are also considered, with a reference tax income per share not exceeding €22,770. The vehicle must be a motor vehicle (two, three, or four wheels) with a thermal or non-rechargeable hybrid engine, be insured, and not be considered damaged.
For those who already received aid in April-September 2026, the €100 payment for October-December will be automatic from October 16th. New applicants can submit their request from October 27th, 2026, with payment within 10 days.
