Jean-Charles Herrenschmidt, President of the CCI Seine-et-Marne, has announced the appointment of Franck Plasse as the Chamber's Director General, effective October 26, 2026. He succeeds Dominique Charneau, who is retiring.
Coming from the local public service, Franck Plasse has held general management and cabinet director positions in agglomerations. His career has focused on economic development, organizational adaptation, and supporting elected officials.
In addition to his experience with local authorities and territories, he has direct knowledge of the business world, having co-founded several very small businesses (TPEs). He also taught in business schools and universities before becoming an expert for the High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education.
This background, at the crossroads of the economic world, public territorial action, and higher education, aligns with the missions and current challenges of the CCI Seine-et-Marne.
“
"Franck PLASSE's arrival opens a new chapter for our Chamber. His experience with territories, his knowledge of economic development, and his entrepreneurial perspective are real assets for continuing the transformation of our CCI. In an environment that more than ever requires our Chambers to adapt, innovate, and demonstrate their usefulness, I know we can count on him to unite our teams and work closely with our elected officials to serve the growth of our businesses and the attractiveness of our territories."
“
"In the whirlwind of contemporary changes, a CCI is a landmark, a trusted third party, and an extremely valuable resource hub for businesses and territories. It is therefore with great pleasure that I join the CCI of Seine-et-Marne. I will add my energy and determination to those of its elected officials and collaborators, in service of the local economy, employment, and training."
The appointment of Franck Plasse continues the Chamber's work with businesses and territories, while also supporting the institutional transformations it faces. He succeeds Dominique Charneau, Director General since July 15, 2015, whose commitment the CCI acknowledges.
The CCI Seine-et-Marne, with its 48 elected business leaders and 230 employees, supports over 80,000 companies in the department. It focuses on supporting businesses and territories, training (through its school, UTEC, with 1,800 apprentices annually), and representing business interests to public authorities.
