The EuroTech Summit 2026, themed "Unlocking Frontier Tech for Europe", gathers researchers, university leaders, industrialists, and policymakers in Paris to define strategies for strengthening European technological leadership.

As the European Union prepares its next budgetary and strategic orientations for research and innovation, its capacity to transform scientific discoveries into industrial innovations is a major challenge. The summit aims to identify areas where Europe can enhance its technological leadership and the necessary means to achieve it.
Among the expected personalities are Henna Virkkunen, European Commission Executive Vice-President for Technological Sovereignty, Security and Democracy, Clément Beaune, High Commissioner for Strategy and Planning, and Bernard Magenhann, Director-General of the European Commission's Joint Research Centre. Discussions will focus on four strategic areas: digital and emerging technologies, clean technologies and energy, health and biotechnology, and security and space.
A key challenge of the summit will be to examine how to accelerate the transition from scientific discovery to industrial innovation. Entrepreneurs from the European deeptech ecosystem will present their innovations, fueling discussions on obstacles to financing and industrializing emerging technologies.
This 2026 edition also celebrates the 15th anniversary of the EuroTech Universities Alliance, founded in 2011. This strategic alliance brings together six leading science and technology institutions: the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris), the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), and the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Together, they aim to strengthen their contribution to major European technological priorities with their 2030 strategy.
