The Energy Regulation Commission (CRE) has given the green light to RTE for the anticipation and pooling of electrical connection works in the Fos-Lavéra area, located in the Bouches-du-Rhône department.

In a context of industrial electrification and decarbonization, optimizing electrical connections is deemed strategic for achieving carbon neutrality and supporting industrial development in France. Energy regulations allow RTE, with CRE authorization, to anticipate future needs and associated works.
Facing the growing demand for electricity in the Fos-Lavéra zone, RTE proposes a proactive approach to connections. This CRE decision authorizes the early construction of facilities aimed at creating a reception capacity of 2,500 MW by 2029.
A portion of this capacity will be available starting this year. Industrial users seeking connection will contribute to the costs of these works at a rate of €116.06/MW. In line with RTE's ten-year network development plan (SDDR), work will commence without delay due to the significant volume of requests.
